We headed to the National Trust Village of Lacock and enjoyed wandering around there before visiting Lacock Abbey. The village has starred in Harry Potter and Cranford.
Lacock Abbey was founded in the early 13th century as a nunnery of the Augustinian order and was converted to a house after the dissolution of monasteries. It was the home of William Henry Fox Talbot who invented photographic negatives.
We then headed to our UK home and have enjoyed catching up with Penny and John and seeing their lovely home alterations.
